Structured Support for Adults Living with ADHD

Living with ADHD as an adult presents distinct challenges that extend well beyond difficulty paying attention. Many adults describe a persistent gap between what they intend to do and what they are actually able to do—a gap that can affect career performance, relationships, and self-confidence over time.

Our ADHD coaching program is designed to close that gap through structured, individualized support grounded in evidence-informed practices.

What We Address

ADHD coaching at our clinic targets the specific executive function skills that ADHD often disrupts:

  • Task initiation and follow-through: Building routines that make starting and completing tasks more reliable.
  • Time awareness and time management: Developing practical strategies to plan realistically and meet deadlines.
  • Organization and working memory: Creating external systems that reduce cognitive load.
  • Emotional regulation and frustration tolerance: Recognizing and managing the emotional weight that comes with repeated executive function challenges.
  • Workplace and academic performance: Translating strategies into the specific contexts where they matter most for you.

Our Approach

Sessions are collaborative, forward-focused, and highly practical. Each session typically begins with a brief review of what you tried since the last meeting, then moves into skill-building or problem-solving around a current challenge.

Your coach draws on frameworks from cognitive-behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, and ADHD-specific coaching models—adapted to your goals rather than applied as a fixed protocol.

Who This Is For

This program is well-suited for adults who:

  • Have a confirmed ADHD diagnosis or are exploring whether ADHD may be affecting their functioning
  • Find themselves consistently falling short of their intentions despite genuine effort
  • Want practical skills and accountability structures rather than (or in addition to) symptom-focused treatment
  • Are managing ADHD alongside work, parenting, school, or other complex life demands

Getting Started

The process begins with a 30-minute consultation to discuss your goals and confirm that coaching is a good fit. From there, sessions are typically 50 minutes, scheduled weekly or bi-weekly based on your preference and pace.

Please note: this page describes the general nature of our coaching program. Individual session structure, frequency, and goals are determined collaboratively with your coach.

Frequently asked questions

How is ADHD coaching different from ADHD therapy?
Coaching focuses on building practical skills and accountability structures for day-to-day functioning—such as time management, task initiation, and prioritization. Therapy, by contrast, explores the emotional and psychological dimensions of ADHD. Many clients benefit from both approaches, and our team can help you determine which fits your current goals.
Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis to start coaching?
A formal diagnosis is not required to begin coaching. If you are experiencing significant difficulties with attention, organization, or executive function, coaching can still be a meaningful support. If you would like assessment support, we can discuss referral options during your intake.
How many sessions does ADHD coaching usually take?
Most clients engage in six to twelve sessions to establish new routines and strategies. The timeline depends on your specific goals and the complexity of challenges you are managing. Your coach will work with you to set a plan during the first session and adjust it as you progress.
